ESOL Instructor or ESOL Instructor Sub

The White Oak Library is in immediate need of a lead beginning ESL teacher and substitute teachers. Our advanced conversation teacher may also require subs occasionally. The class is held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays, downstairs at the White Oak Library. Ideally, the lead beginner volunteer teacher would commit to teaching every week. The teacher would need to choose a theme each class and have a lesson plan and prepare speaking activities geared towards beginners. The focus is on giving our students a fun place to practice their spoken English as they learn vocabulary, grammar, and more. We are looking for some friendly and engaging people who have ESL classroom experience and would like to help our students learn English through conversation and sometimes related worksheets, etc. If you are interested in making a difference in our community and volunteering as an ESL teacher or sub, please send an email to Nancy Traver, travernj@gmail.com. She would be happy to answer any questions you may have, and to share some helpful hints for preparation and teaching. Thanks for your consideration!
