Instructor Meeting: Beyond the Form: Making Grammar Instruction More Meaningful!
Wednesday, Nov 16, 2022, | 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Grammar instruction has often been reduced to the idea of boring rules about form and drills. However, grammar instruction doesn’t have to be just about rules and forms. During this presentation, you will see how grammar instruction can be a more dynamic experience for learners when you also focus on function and meaning. You will learn techniques that can help learners make sense of grammar by understanding its features, i.e. why we use them (function) and how we use them (meaning).
